David Lloyd – Club Badminton Coach
Working at David Lloyd, Cranmore Boulavard in Solihull. Started running their Allstars Badminton Programme prior to Christmas 2011 and continuing following the school term times for sessions.
WSBA – Warwickshire Schools Badminton Association
Working at both the Birmingham and Coventry county cells with all age groups under 17.
At the Birmingham cell with predominantly Under 11 and under 13. Occasionally helping with the under 15 and under 17. Then at the Coventry cell with the under 11.
WMPC – West Midlands Performance Center – Development Office
Promoting badminton in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Working with local schools and linking them up with badminton clubs. Coaching talented young players and helping them to improve their skills.
Ashton Badminton Club
Club and Match secretary at the club based in Kingswinford, Dudley, West Midlands.
PL4S – Premier League 4 Sports
Working for ‘The Albion Foundation’ at West Bromwich Albion F.C., delivering additional sports curriculum to local schools and occasionally working with Aston Villa F.C. at their Holiday Sports Camps.
NHS – National Health Service – Mental Health Care
Delivering various programmes, spread over several weeks. Providing an insight into various aspects of badminton (shots, movement, rules and scoring). Encouraging the patients to focus on sport and enjoy the learning experience. Sandwell Mental Health – Grapevine magazine article HERE See page 6.
Change 4 Life
Delivering the local government Change 4 Life programme to Park Hall School, Water Orton, Heart of England School, Balsall Common and the CTC Kings Hurst School. Setting up and running after school clubs for their pupils. Followed by a second session aimed at pupils from local primary school.
NSB – No String Badminton
Running a weekly session through Badminton England promoting badminton to adults (18+) who want to play socially and ‘pay and play’ with no commitment. Ran at Solihull College Sport Centre.
